REDUCED ADJECTIVE CLAUSE

REDUCED ADJECTIVE CLAUSE*
hi guys, I am sorry for not posting any lessons for a couple of months. I have been a lil bit busy lately. Hehehe.....
Anyway, let's talk about Reduced adjective clause.
Well, what is an adjective clause? It is a clause whose function is to modify nouns/noun phrases. It usually uses who, whom, which, that, whose, where, or when as its connector.
These are some examples of adjective clause:
I know the man who stole your money.
This is the book which tells us the history of Indonesia.
She is the girl whom we talked about last night.
Nah, what is *reduced adjective clause*?
It is an adjective clause that has been reduced by omitting the connectors and be verbs. Can we reduce all adjective clauses? No. We can only reduce an adjective clause which use "which", "who", or "that" as its connector.
How do we reduce it?
We reduce it by omitting the connector and change the verb into a present participle (active voice) or past participle (passive voice).
To make it easier to understand, please take a look at these examples:
I know the man who stole your money.
*_reduced_* : I know the man stealing your money.
This is the book which tells us the history of Indonesia.
*_reduced_* : This is the book telling us the history of Indonesia.
Tio is the boy who is sitting next to Mary.
*_reduced_* : Tio is the boy sitting next to Mary.
I attended the party which was held by my ex boyfriend.
*_reduced_* : I attended the party held by my ex boyfriend
